On This Day In History..........

In 1876....... Lt. Col. George A. Custer and 5 companies of the U.S. 7th Cavalry were killed in action, in an engagement with Sioux and Cheyenne warriors, near the Little Bighorn river in the Montana Territory. A total of around 210 men.

Custer was a prima donna, an idiot, and had a huge ego. The only reason we know his name is because he managed to get his whole command wiped out. Benteen did a better job, but had to suffer a courts-martial. The sooner we forget about Custer, the better off we'll be.
